The Volvo 1800 offers all the romance of a vintage European sports car, but at a fraction of the price. The 1800 series evolved from 1961-1973 and saw only minor cosmetic changes throughout this period. In 1970, these cars gained four-wheel disc brakes and in '72 the 1800ES was offered as a shooting brake--sporting an all-glass rear hatch, a design that continues to inspire Volvo's of late (See C30).
